REVIEW OF THE YEAR 2018

From awards, automation, training and expansion stages

By the end of last year it was already clear that 2018 would present many challenges. In looking back at the year, we now want to show that we were not mistaken – because from a multitude of exciting projects to great new colleagues and confirmations of our work, everything that makes up agency life was there.

But first things first.

One of the most positive surprises was certainly winning three awards at the German Design Award in the “Special” category. We were honoured for the relaunches of Treiber Trays, the TUM School of Management and Lycka. Especially for our designers and our developers a great praise of their work!

To be able to continue this work, some of us had to face a new challenge this year. In order to support new talents in the future, a part of our team took it upon themselves, despite the daily stress, to be officially trained as trainers – no small effort as it turned out. But with success: six of our colleagues fought their way through and are now officially recognised trainers by the Chamber of Industry and Commerce. Congratulations!

In addition to all this, however, our main focus this year was logically on a large number of projects that challenged us all in ever new ways. Here is a small selection:

Hochschule Fresenius

The first step is undoubtedly the largest and most extensive project in the company’s history: a completely new development of the corporate design in conjunction with the relaunch of the website of the Fresenius University of Applied Sciences. The project, which required, among other things, the clear presentation of more than 250 courses of study at a large number of locations, challenged us in every respect, because all departments were constantly challenged by the integration of the most diverse interfaces, a significant simplification of the information architecture, which meant a complete reinvention of the HSF’s external image. We are proud of this.

AMD

And since we’re getting really well acquainted with universities, it was the same with the AMD Hochschule für Medien und Design, the design school within the Fresenius University of Applied Sciences. Our colleagues from the design department were particularly in demand here, in order to make the university’s claim particularly clear visually. This was successful, as was the technical optimization of the website, for example by integrating completely dynamic inquiry forms.

Vereinigte Volksbank Raiffeisenbank

The demands placed on us in the next project, the development of a website on the topic of construction financing for Vereinigte Volksbanken with the simultaneous development of a corresponding campaign, were primarily of a technical nature. Thus we developed a website with a complex landing page structure including a dynamic credit calculator and sophisticated conversion tracking.

Lekkerland

The relaunch of the Lekkerland.com site presented us with a healthy mixture of technical and graphic requirements. In addition to the integration of various interfaces, a hosting system on Microsoft Azure had to be implemented. We also created various interactive graphics, restructured the contents and revised the visual worlds and design language holistically.

Auto Empire

Best vehicles at unrivalled prices and service at the highest level – this is the approach of Auto Empire Trading GmbH. In order to meet this claim online as well, we not only completely renewed the corporate design including shootings, but also developed a highly complex car search mask for the best possible user experience. An award candidate by all means!

FCI

The most obvious mix of design and technology resulted from the relaunch of the Frankfurt Cancer Institute’s website. In addition to a fundamental redesign of the homepage, the first thing that catches the eye when looking at the new site is the 3D animation, which was created entirely in-house.

Hydac

The launch of the website match.hydac.com was graphically highly demanding. To demonstrate the power of the “match” software, we developed a striking key visual, various illustrations and an extensive product logo system – naturally as always on WordPress.

Bosch

Our developers were once again able to shine with the launch of the Bosch Connected World page – and not only through the comprehensive social media integration, the development of a modern live search and an expanded editorial concept. Especially the deep integration of ReactJS by our development team on the new site was challenging and the knowledge gained will certainly bring us many advantages for future projects.

In addition to these highlights, we implemented countless other projects that we enjoyed no less: Auto Schütz, BIT, Biomass, Blumeins, DLA Marbach Suhrkamp-Forschungskolleg, Deutsch-Türkische Jugendbrücke, Durm Patentanwälte, European Datawarehouse, Excubate, Kitagawa, Lino, Metro Markets, Palleos, Payworks, Phaon, Sales Unit, TUM School of Management – Executive Education Center, TUM Munich Center for Technology in Society, Talentschmiede Gruppe, Triplan AG and further projects that we will complete at the beginning of the new year.  Our thanks also go to these customers for their trust and cooperation.

The last big project of this year was the realization and implementation of all requirements of the DSGVO, which cost not only us but also every customer an hour or two.

The realisation of all these projects was certainly due to the diligence of each individual employee in many places, but was also made possible by the fact that we not only continued to refine our processes, but also made further progress in the expansion of our castle home and now have additional office and meeting rooms.

Our team also grew again with new colleagues who integrated themselves effortlessly into the team. A hello again to Annika in administration, Jurij in business development, Katrin and Celina in design, Felix, Matthias and Alex in IT and Marcel, who supports us in both content and QA. At the same time we don’t want to forget Chris, who left us this year and whom we of course wish all the best for the future.

So a lot has happened again this year and this is how it should continue. We can already reveal that our experience in higher education will be in demand again in 2019, but that topics such as climate protection will also present us with exciting challenges.

We are looking forward to it, wish everyone a good start into the new year and thank all customers and friends of 360VIER for the cooperation, the exchange and one or two cups of coffee.
